Bio
HELEN BROOK
I am an artist, creative producer, and sustainability practitioner working at the intersection of art, ecology, and environmental responsibility. My practice explores nature connection through creative engagement, interactive artworks, and collaborative processes — shaping experiences that invite curiosity, care, and a deeper relationship with place.
I hold an MSc in Sustainability & Consultancy (Distinction) and a BA (Hons) in Art & Design (First Class), both from the University of Leeds. My academic research focused on circularity and climate communication within the creative and cultural sector, grounding my artistic work in systems thinking, material awareness, and practical approaches to sustainability.
Alongside my creative practice, I bring extensive professional experience supporting artists, organisations, and public bodies to embed environmental thinking into projects, programmes, and long-term strategies. I have worked across public art commissions, festivals, participatory programmes, and sector-wide sustainability initiatives, combining creative insight with strategic and operational expertise.
My work is informed by a strong commitment to accessibility, care, and co-creation. I am an experienced facilitator, producer, and public speaker, and a practitioner member of the Institute of Sustainability and Environmental Professionals. Through both making and mentoring, I aim to support creative work that is environmentally responsible, socially grounded, and deeply connected to the living systems we are part of.
