I create artworks, experiences, and collaborative spaces that reconnect people with the living systems around them.

Nature as a collaborator

Drawing from ecological systems, seasonal cycles, and more-than-human perspectives

Participation & co-creation

designing processes that value lived experience and collective knowledge

Working with reclaimed, recycled, and natural materials, with holistic consideration of material lifecycles

Careful Making

Interactivity as connection

using touch, movement, light and sound to bridge the gap between artwork and audience, inviting them to experience their presence within wider ecological systems

SERVICES

  • I create site-responsive and interactive artworks that draw from ecological systems, material cycles, and hidden networks within our landscapes. Working across sculpture, light, sound, and installation, my pieces invite curiosity and embodied engagement: encouraging audiences to slow down, notice, and reconnect with place through sensory experience.

    Recent projects include:

ROUTES, a permanent interactive light installation exploring movement, memory, and connection in public space. Created through my role as Director of Second Nature Studio.

Emergence, an environmental artist residency for Now Then! in Selby responding to cycles of growth and decay.

and Melting Point, for the University of Sheffield’s Festival of the Mind, a tactile sculptural installation examining energy intensity and material transformation.

  • I design and facilitate creative workshops and participatory processes that support nature connection and community building. Grounded in care and accessibility, my engagement work creates welcoming spaces for people of all ages and backgrounds to explore environmental themes through making, conversation, and collective imagination.

Recent projects include Nature-connection and sustainability workshops with The LEVEL Centre, Creative Scene‍ and TheUniversity of Leeds; community engagement commissions for Now Then! and Kirklees Council; and participatory projects exploring future landscapes, local ecology, and shared environmental storytelling with diverse communities across the UK.

  • I support cultural organisations, artists, and creative projects to embed sustainability in meaningful and practical ways. Bringing together strategic thinking and creative insight, my consultancy work helps translate environmental responsibility into clear actions: from sustainable production and materials thinking to climate communication and long-term planning.

Recent projects include environmental planning as a trustee for Yorkshire Contemporary, and as a Critical Friend for CPP Down to earth, and working to develop the Sheffield Culture Climate Network with Arts Catalyst and Site Gallery.
