Introducing RISE, a bespoke owl sculpture created for Kirklees Council’s #HEARTyourtown project; a creative response to brighten up Huddersfield and Dewsbury and enhance public spaces to enjoy in a socially distant way. 

RISE celebrates the strength & resilience of our community throughout the COVID-19 Pandemic: whilst simultaneously acting as a call to action for our community to take responsibility for reducing plastic pollution.

RISE is made wherever possible from scrap materials, with all single use plastic (carrier bags, wrappers) collected by family, friends & neighbours, chicken wire from free cycle & a welded steel frame constructed partly from scrap.
